Lament of the Fallen KnightI fall to my knees
armor broken, wings fallen
I lay down my sword
my shield long forgotten
heavy my heart
weary my soul
failing in strength
to lift even my eyes
the shadows consume me
claim me as their own

Uploaded for comparison to the edited photo entitled Contagion. This is the original picture I started from. Editing out the light glare in the iris was the most challenging part. Took me a while to figure out how to do it without making it look choppy.

I am completely okay with people using this image of my eye as a stock photo, just please link to it in the credits if you do and post a comment here that you used it. I could have edited out the unfortunate reflection of the lamp in my eye, but I'd rather leave that decision and method up to anyone who chooses to use this picture. Thanks!

Yep - I love having hazel eyes! It also makes asking people what color they think your eyes are rather amusing as they sit there trying to figure it out.

You should post some on dA. Eye photos are some of the best, IMO.

And by the way, turning 30...not so bad. I hit that milestone 4 years ago and it was little more than a bump in the path. Besides, just because we grow older doesn't mean we have to grow up.

Its just had because I dont have any physical friends to help me celebrate! Also the pics on my FB Are of not just my eyes but upclose of my face XD and who wants 2 see that lol

Well, if you don't want to post full face pictures, you could always crop the photos so it's just your eyes.

And I can completely relate to not having any physical friends around to help celebrate; we moved from one side of the country to the other not too long ago and I haven't really made any friends out here yet.
